ABBOTTSTOWN – Residents of the 193rd Legislative District will receive an update on state-related issues during a town hall-style meeting with Rep. Torren Ecker (R-Adams/Cumberland).
The meeting will be held at the North Newton Township building, located at 528 Oakville Road, Shippensburg, on Saturday, Feb. 22, starting at 9 a.m.
“The governor released his spending plan for the year and though it was just his proposal, this town hall-style meeting affords me the opportunity to share my thoughts about it and hear from folks about issues that are concerning to them,” Ecker said. “I hope to see residents there.”
Ecker will also provide updates on state-related issues the Legislature is working on in Harrisburg. He will also discuss topics important to residents of the 193rd Legislative District.
A light breakfast will be served. To reserve a seat for the meeting, residents are asked to RSVP by calling Ecker’s office at 717-259-7805, or by going online to
